Early History of Grand Canyon Railway

Two solar projects have been completed to supply hot water and electricity to the property, low flow showers and toilets have been installed, and reclaimed water is used for irrigation.

Schedule Of Canyon Railway Train
The Grand Canyon Railway offers at least one daily round trip of its Williams Flyer train between Williams (Departure 9.30 am) and the Grand Canyon (11.45 arrival) every day except on Christmas Day, December 25. During peak demand periods a second train departure is also added.

The train leaves daily at either 9:30 am (January to October) or 8:30 am (November to December). If you prefer staying overnight, the Canyon Railway offers accommodation and dining options. During your visit to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, remember you only have a limited 3-hour window, so plan your activities wisely. If you’re traveling with small children, it’s advisable to bring a stroller.
Keep in mind that only service animals are allowed on the train and within the Grand Canyon National Park. However, there’s a Pet Resort nearby the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel for your convenience.
Steam Engine Journey
From March through October, you can get experience to travel along the scenic route to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon hauled by a antique steam-powered locomotive. These train rides are on the first Saturday of every month from March through October. On special occasion trips, and at least one roundtrip per month during the summer is operated.
